Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Ascynd's website, desktop application, and related services (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

Your account

You need an account to use most of the Service. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials safe and for everything that happens under your account. Let us know straight away at info@ascynd.io if you suspect unauthorised access.

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the Service.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to break the law.
• Upload or process content you don't have the right to use.
• Try to reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service in ways that harm it or other users.
• Share your account with others or resell access to the Service.

We can suspend or terminate your account if you break these rules.

Your content

You keep all rights to the videos and files you process with Ascynd. We don't claim ownership of your content. Ascynd processes your videos locally on your device — we don't upload them to our servers.

Subscriptions and payments

Paid plans are billed through Stripe in advance on a recurring basis. You can cancel at any time from your account, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. If something goes wrong, get in touch and we'll try to make it right.

Availability

We do our best to keep the Service running smoothly, but we're still a small team building fast. The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ascynd is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim won't exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or if we need to for legal or security reasons.

Changes to these Terms

If we make material changes we'll update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, let you know by email. Continuing to use the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you're a consumer in the EU, you keep the protections of the mandatory consumer laws of your country of residence.
